The features provided with Loop allows your app to automatically place new orders in Shopify. When this happens, it is important you are able to distinguish the original order placed by the customer from the new exchange order placed by Loop. 

The Order Prefix setting in your Loop admin gives the exchange order a unique name, while maintaining the relationship with the original order. An exchange on order 1234 will display in Shopify as L-1234. 

By default your order prefix is L- , but we also recommend: X-, EXC-, and R-. 

You can adjust your Order Prefix under Settings in your admin.
