It is extremely rare for a customer to abandon their return order entirely. But occasionally, customers take more time than expected to put their return package in the mail. 

The Loop app places a new exchange order in Shopify based on your processing event. To avoid out-of-stock notifications entirely, you may set your processing event to 'Immediate' — as soon as the return order is submitted, an exchange order is sent to Shopify.

If you feel there is a high likelihood that you will sell out of a product before the customer sends back their return, you can set a minimum inventory threshold. 

The minimum inventory threshold is the point where Loop will list your product as out-of-stock in the app. If the inventory value of an item is below that threshold, it will not be available for an exchange.

You are able to adjust your minimum inventory threshold in Settings.
