Important: Merchants must first update the app across all devices before updating Loop Admin for the change to take effect.

Version 2.2.2 — October 19, 2023

  • Improved error messaging when a user tries to log in without the correct permissions.
  • Items will no longer show as restocked in Loop when the “Loop restock functionality” setting is switched off in the Admin.

Version 2.2.1 — September 26, 2023

Important: After updating the app, please reach out to the merchant's Merchant Success Manager to take advantage of these changes.

  • Merchants can now search for orders using the Shopify receipt number.
  • Merchants can now choose not to auto-process returns from within POS.

Version 2.2.0 — August 29, 2023

  • NEW gift returns flow allows gift recipients to exchange or receive a gift card without notifying the gifter.
  • When the original payment method is cash, cash refunds can be completed if the merchant can manually open the cash drawer(s) at their store location(s).
  • Return Summary Page now details the original payment method (for example: cash, gift card, or last four digits of credit card).
  • Restock location selection is no longer required to complete a return if the merchant has the “Loop restock functionality” setting switched off in the admin.
  • Restock_location_id is sent on ‘return create,’ populating relevant data through ERP/3PL integrations.

Version 2.1.2 — July 27, 2023

  • Get details on which store the exchange order took place in with location_id now populating on all exchange orders through POS.
  • Ensure the entire order number populates in the order summary view when associates complete order lookup by name or email.

Version 2.1.1 — July 5, 2023

  • Get a holistic review of the POS transaction by viewing the reason an exception is made for an item through allowlist in the order summary view in Admin.
  • Final sale items can now be added to the allowlist through POS, giving merchants total flexibility.
  • Exchange orders made through POS now exclude a shipping address, speeding up the time to resolution.
  • The app can now scan and process manual input for customized barcodes, including special characters (example: 5432112345/XL).
  • If order lookup fails, a message now populates prompting store associates to verify they have included any prefix in the order number (example: US-12345).
  • The app now stays logged in to the Admin for 2 weeks. Store associates will still need to put in their unique pin each time they open the app.
  • A banner now appears when a new version of the app is available to ensure the merchant is on the latest and greatest version.
  • The app now locks in landscape mode.
