What it is

The new Checkout+ app embed is the latest version of Loop's Checkout+ product. It replaces the legacy Checkout+ install with a modernized app embed architecture, and introduces Dynamic Pricing — a configurable coverage fee model that gives you more control over your coverage strategy than a flat fee.

All future Checkout+ enhancements will be built exclusively on the new app embed. The legacy version will continue to receive maintenance support only.

Important: All Checkout+ merchants are required to migrate to the new app embed by July 31, 2026. After that date, the legacy install will not receive new features or enhancements.

Why it matters

Migrating to the new Checkout+ app embed unlocks Dynamic Pricing and a more flexible coverage strategy. With Dynamic Pricing, you can:

  • Increase revenue with smarter, more flexible pricing

  • Add a fully configurable fee on top of Checkout+

  • Manage everything directly in the Loop admin (fully self-managed — no support ticket required)

  • Retain 100% of any added coverage fee

You'll also stay current with all future Checkout+ enhancements, which will only ship on the new app embed.

Setup

Loop handles the heavy lifting on migration. You start the process; our team reviews your configuration, coordinates with your technical contact, and completes the cutover with no downtime or shopper disruption.

Follow the steps below to migrate to the new Checkout+ app embed:

  1. Submit the migration form. Fill out the short form here: https://forms.gle/GTCWKmup1L7M5rbg7. You'll be asked to confirm your technical contact so Loop can coordinate the cutover directly with them.

  2. Loop reviews your configuration. Our team reviews your current Checkout+ setup and prepares the new app embed install to mirror it.

  3. Coordinate the cutover. Loop works directly with your technical contact to install the new app embed and remove the legacy install. The cutover is designed to be seamless — no downtime, no shopper disruption.

  4. Configure Dynamic Pricing in the Loop admin. Once you're live on the new app embed you can optionally turn on dynamic pricing to collect additional revenue. Navigate to Returns Management > Policy settings > Checkout+ > Pricing to configure your coverage fee.

  5. Click Save to apply your pricing configuration.

Important: Do not remove the legacy Checkout+ install yourself. Loop's team handles the install and removal during the coordinated cutover to avoid any gap in coverage.

FAQ

When do I have to migrate by? All Checkout+ merchants are required to migrate by July 31, 2026. After that date, the legacy install will only receive maintenance support — no new features or enhancements will be backported.

Will my shoppers experience any downtime or changes? No. Loop coordinates the cutover directly with your technical contact and the migration is designed to be seamless, with no downtime or shopper-facing disruption.

Do I have to enable Dynamic Pricing right away? No. Migrating to the new app embed is required, but enabling Dynamic Pricing is optional. You can migrate first and configure Dynamic Pricing in the Loop admin whenever you're ready.

What happens to my existing Checkout+ configuration? Loop's team reviews your current setup and replicates it on the new app embed so opt-in behavior and coverage logic are preserved through the migration.

Who keeps the added coverage fee? You do — you retain 100% of any added coverage fee configured through Dynamic Pricing.

What if I'm on a custom or headless storefront? Submit the migration form anyway and flag your setup in the technical contact field. Loop's team will scope the cutover with your developer directly.
