ReBound and Cycleon Shipping Integrations

Edited

OVERVIEW
ReBound Returns supports omnichannel returns management, helping merchants with sustainability, scalability, and simplicity. With this integration’s focus on returns shipping services, merchants can expect:

  • More convenient carriers & drop-off locations.

  • Negotiated rates with global carriers.

  • Shorter return cycles.

  • Cross-border consolidated shipping savings.

  • Warehouse inspection of returned items during consolidation

ReBound offers two ways to integrate:

  • Headless API (also known as ReBound consumer choice).

  • Order Service API (formerly known as Cycleon integration).

How it works

This integration requires an existing agreement with ReBound and can take several weeks before going live with Rebound carriers.

Loop's integration with ReBound Returns can be simplified as the following:

  • Loop handles everything before a package is dropped off.

  • ReBound handles everything after a package is dropped off such as consolidation, quality control, and more.

Set up ReBound (Headless API)

  1. In the Loop admin, go to Returns management > Shipping > Shipping services.

  2. Click Connect shipping service, then select ReBound Consumer Choice.

  3. Input your ReBound credentials in Loop. If you’re not sure what your ReBound credentials are, reach out to your ReBound contact for support.

  4. In the desired return policy, select ReBound as the shipping provider and select the carriers that the merchant wants to enable (for example: InPost, Asda, Evri).

Set up Cycleon (Order service API)

  1. In the Loop admin, go to Returns management > Shipping > Shipping services.

  2. Click Connect shipping service, then select Cycleon.

  3. Fill in the credentials that were provided by Rebound:

  4. In the desired return policy, select Cycleon as the shipping provider.

Qualifications

All merchants can leverage this integration, regardless of plan or add-ons. In order to be eligible to use ReBound, merchants must meet the following volume requirements:

  • >12K returns annually.

  • Includes consolidation services in non-domestic countries.

Carrier Support

The Order Service API supports carriers you previously aligned on per region on your ReBound contract. The Headless API integration currently supports:

ReBound warehouse return processing

ReBound integrates with Loop's return processing capabilities. When items are registered at ReBound's warehouse, ReBound sends a message to either:

  1. Process the return when all expected items were received

  2. Flag the return when 1 or more items are missing or there were unexpected items in the shipment.

If this is supported by your contract with ReBound, generate and share API keys with the ReBound team and ensure your return policy processing events are set to Manual processing using the below steps.

  1. In the Loop admin, navigate to the Tools & integrations tab.

  2. Go to the Developer tools page, scroll down to the API keys section, and click Generate API key.

  3. Select the boxes next to the scope: Return

    • Note: If you forget to check any of these scopes, you can edit this information later.

  4. Add 'Rebound' to the name of this API key. This name is for your own internal labeling convenience.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Share this API key with Rebound implementation manager so they can connect with their system.

  7. In your Return Policy where you are using ReBound Consumer Choice for labels, ensure processing events are set to 'Manual'.

FAQ

What if I use Cycleon? Loop and ReBound still support this integration, also referred to as Order Service API integration. Set up is the same as this article outlines.

Why can't I set carriers in our Loop admin for Cycleon?  Your agreement with Cycleon includes alignment on which carriers you will use per region. When Loop calls Cycleon for a label, all of the carrier selection and rate shopping is done on the Cycleon side per the pre-arranged structure with you and Cycleon.

Why doesn't the tracking page link work from the Loop admin for Cycleon?  Currently, Cycleon does not provide a URL for tracking. As such, the link in the admin is deactivated. Your customer and/or support team must visit the carrier website and track using the tracking number.

Can I use automated processing events with ReBound?  Yes, you can use Loop's automated processing based on label status.
