Offset: Troubleshooting

This article is meant to help merchants identify and resolve common issues that may emerge in the Offset Checkout configuration process.


Offset product not showing up in checkout testing

These product attributes are the defaults that Loop assigns to the Offset product when we create it in your store. If any of these attributed are altered, it may cause the Offset product to not display.

  1. Product Status should be Active.

  2. Sales channels should include Online Store.

  3. For Offset Flex merchants, Markets should include any geographies where they want to offer Offset.

  4. Media should contain an image.

  5. Flex merchants should configure this fee directly in Shopify. Price should always be a non-zero amount.

  6. Inventory > Track quantity should be unchecked.

  7. Shipping > This is a physical product should be unchecked.

Cart closing when Offset product is toggling on/off

There is a setting that can be updated to make it so that the cart only refreshes on the main cart page instead of cart drawer or mini-carts.

  1. Go to Sales Channel > Online Store > Themes

  2. Hit Customize on your Offset theme

  3. Open App embeds

  4. Select the Offset for Cart Loop app

  5. Make sure the Auto Refresh box is checked off

  6. Update the Auto Refresh Option to "Refresh Only on Full Cart Page" then Save.

  1. Once this setting is updated, you can test the Offset product in the preview again.

Loop app block can't be selected during Checkout setup

If the Loop app block can't be added to checkout during setup, try clearing your cache!

Offset product image not displaying in emails

The file type for the product image is an .svg. However, some email clients do not support this file type. If you are experiencing this error, please upload this .jpg image to the product
