POS Start Online, Drop Off In-Store

Merchants can automatically offer the option to drop off in-store, alongside other return methods, to any shoppers within a 20-mile radius of one of their stores.

Through this new return method, merchants can:

  • Save on shipping label and logistics costs typically associated with processing online returns

  • Drive foot traffic to their store, reducing customer acquisition costs

  • Reduce the time to resolution for completing a return. Store Associates simply scan the customer's QR code with the Loop POS app and approve!

Ship by Loop Worldwide enhancements

Loop has added the following capabilities to Ship by Loop Worldwide (SBLWW):

  • Printerless Returns via QR codes for Canada Post, Evri, and USPS. Shoppers will have the option to print a label or choose a QR code for a convenient, printerless return.

  • Additional Carriers with discount rates available:

    • DHL: Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands

    • FedEx: Australia and United States

  • Generate invoices, receipts, and credit note reports in the merchant's Ship by Loop Worldwide settings.

Kustomer integration updates

The integration between Loop and Kustomer continues to evolve, offering new features and updates that significantly enhance the functionality and efficiency of both platforms.

Here is the new value that was delivered this month:

  • Chatbot enhancements: Kustomer's chatbot now displays order status, tracking information, and, most notably, allows customers to initiate returns directly through the chat interface, providing a one-stop for managing their orders.

  • Agent desktop biew improvements: Within Kustomer, agents have a comprehensive view of the customer's chat and order history, enabling personalized support while reducing time to resolution.

  • Detailed return management: Agents can view detailed information about returns, including return reason, sub-reason, comments, and refund amounts to make informed decisions and take action with confidence. This detail ensures that agents have a deep understanding of each return case, allowing for more informed decisions and actions.

  • Enhanced return processing capabilities: Within the Kustomer platform, agents now have the flexibility to process, close, cancel, or flag returns, keeping the support team in one place.

Deposco integration

The Loop Returns socket enables merchants to pull the returns into Deposco so that stock can be received against them. Deposco leverages the Loop Returns API for the integration. The Return Merchandise Authorization interface in Deposco pulls Shopify RMAs from Loop Returns on a scheduled basis. This integration is owned and maintained by Deposco.

Fixes and improvements

Packing slips combined with labels

If the merchant uses EasyPost or Ship by Loop US Domestic as their shipping service, then Packing Slips are now combined with Shipping Labels as one file to print instead of being two separate files! This will streamline the amount of links a customer has to click after submitting their return and will better encourage them to include Packing Slips with their shipments.

Loop Analytics changes

This month, there were a couple of small changes made to Loop Analytics, including:

  • Merchants can now find counts for outcomes within the Overview, Operations, Customers, and Loop Value Impact dashboards. If a merchant drills down on any outcome ratio (refund ratio, variant exchange ratio, etc.) they will find data for the outcome counts and outcome dollar amounts.

  • Loop removed the Return Reason pie charts from the bottom of the Overview dashboard and instead moved this data to the table view below it. In making this update, Loop had to remove the parent percentage return reasons within the dashboard. However, parent return reason percentages can still be found using the sum of the child return reason percentages.

Canada Post barcode customizations

Canada Post now offers custom barcode options on their labels! This allows merchants the option to add barcode fields for their warehouse for faster processing. To customize this, go to the Loop admin and click Returns management > Shipping > Manage Integration (next to EasyPost) > Edit carrier.

Keep Item update

Loop released an update to Workflows and Warranties that allows merchants to set at the policy level whether they would like Keep Item to be manual or automatic, making it so that the warranty policy is more configurable to suit a merchant's preferences. Previously, this had to be configured under the return policy.
