Product Recommendations in Loop Order Tracking

OVERVIEW

Merchants can easily add product recommendations to their Loop Order Tracking pages using either Loop's Rebuy integration or Loop Smart Recommendations. Product recommendations help merchants leverage their most viewed customer email to increase CLTV by cross-selling products and driving repeat purchases.

Note: Merchants must first set up Order Tracking before setting up product recommendations.


Setup

Note: It can take 1-2 days after you have turned on Loop Order Tracking for your data to process and then display within Loop Smart Recommendations.

Tip: For merchants planning on setting up the Rebuy integration, Loop recommends logging into Rebuy ahead of this process.

  1. In the Loop Admin, navigate to Tracking > Order tracking and scroll down to Configure Order Tracking Recommendations.

  2. Toggle on Recommendations, then select a Recommendation engine. The two currently supported options are Rebuy and Loop Smart Recommendations.

  3. Mechants that select Rebuy are prompted to connect their Rebuy account with Loop using an API key. The Rebuy API key can be found in the Rebuy admin by navigating to Account > API Keys.

  4. Once the recommendation engine has been selected, merchants can select a Data source. This is the group of products that will appear on Tracking pages.

    If Loop Smart Recommendations is selected, the following options are shown

    • For you (default): recommendations specific to the shopper’s behavior.

    • Trending: recommendations tied to the current top selling products.

  5. Once done, click Save on the bottom right corner.

  6. Optional: To customize the customer experience, navigate to Tracking > Order tracking, then under Branded Tracking Page, click Customize > Recommendations. From here, merchants can edit the Heading and set the maximum number of products to display under Limit. Once done, click Save. 

Customer experience

Once enabled, product recommendations will appear at the bottom of Loop-hosted Order Tracking pages throughout the journey from fulfillment to delivery. When a customer clicks on one of the featured products, they'll be taken to the product description page on the merchant's site. If they click More products button, they'll be taken to the merchant's homepage.

Qualifications

Any merchant using Loop Order Tracking can turn on Loop Smart Recommendations.

In order to leverage Rebuy on Loop Order Tracking, merchants must have an account setup with Rebuy prior to implementing the integration in Loop.

FAQ

What data does Loop Smart Recommendations read for customers? The model’s view of customer info is limited to non-personal identifiable information.

Are there any security concerns or disclosures I need to make to my customers? Both our Rebuy integration and Loop Smart Recommendations comply with the same security measures as Loop and Shopify. Therefore, there is no need to make additional disclosures specific to this feature.

What if I use a different solution for product recommendations on my site? You can incorporate your preferred product recommendations method by hosting Loop Order Tracking on your site using Shopify app blocks.

What if I don't want certain items to appear through Loop Smart Recommendations? You can apply the product tag "loop_recommendations_exclude" for any products you do not wish to show as recommendations.
