On Instant Exchange orders, merchants can now select individual lines items to be refunded.

Partial IX refunds are helpful when a shopper:

• Mails their return on time and is not charged, but an item is missing or in unsatisfactory condition, then you can charge the customer for that item specifically.

• Fails to mail their return on time and is charged, but sends it later on, partially refund the customer for what was sent back in satisfactory condition.

Workflows for Offset Free

Merchants on Offset Free can now use Workflows to waive or subsidize the return handling fee for various return scenarios. For example, you can choose to:

• Waive handling fees for VIP customers

• Waive handling fees for items reported & verified as damaged

• Subsidize handling fees for exchanges to further incentivize them over refunds

Note: Merchants using Offset Free will still be billed for waived and subsidized handling fees.

Text customizations for Offset Flex

Merchants on Offset Flex can now customize the text shown with Offset at cart and/or checkout. This includes both the main product title as well as the ‘Learn more’ modal. Tailor messaging to your brand’s unique voice and take more control of the Offset experience.

To customize Offset text, simply navigate to Returns Management > Policy Settings > General. Then under Offset, click on Text customizations.
