Written Intstructions

  1. Head to the Shopify App Store, search for Loop Returns and select to Install

  2. Once you've successfully downloaded the app, you'll be brought to Loop's Install Guide

  3. The first setup step is to Sign up with Loop. You'll see three options — choose the one that applies to you:

    • Enter an activation code — You've already spoken with the Loop team and signed a contract. You should have received an activation code by email. Enter it here to proceed.

Note: If you have an activation code but can't find it, contact install@loopreturns.com. If you haven't spoken with the Loop team yet, select Book a demo or Explore Loop first.

    • Book a demo — You'd like to speak with the Loop team before getting started. You'll be connected to schedule a call.

    • Explore Loop first — You'd like to browse the Loop admin before booking a demo. See the Demo Mode section below for details on what to expect.

  4. Next, you'll choose your Loop domain (your returns portal URL). We'll suggest a URL based on your store settings — you can customize this later from within the Loop admin if needed.

  5. After submitting your domain, you'll be prompted to set your support email preferences. This is something you can customize later from within the Loop admin if you choose.

  6. Now may be prompted to enter your payment details. Loop uses Ordway as our customer billing portal, so you will see a link that you'll need to click that will bring you into Ordway to enter payment information.

Note: You may not be required to complete this step if this is an additional instance and we already have a payment method on file related to your account (which we can see based on the activation code) or if you are simply Exploring Loop.

  7. Once that is approved, the next step will be to invite team members to Loop. Again, you'll have the ability to add more team members later but you should invite the team members that you'll want to have immediate access to Loop upon install.

You'll enter their first name, last name and email address and then select the permissions you'd like them to have access to in Loop. You should include yourself on this list if you are the one setting up Loop.

Once you complete that step, those users will receive an email with an invitation link to confirm their account.

Note: You'll need at least one accepted invitation before you'll see the option to proceed become available in the Install Guide.

  8. Now you'll see the option to log into Loop! From there you can begin building your return policies, setting up shipment preferences etc. You'll also be paired with an Onboarding Specialist who can answer any of your questions.

Demo Mode

Demo Mode lets you explore the Loop admin immediately after installing — no activation code, no payment method, and no commitment required.

What to expect

Once you select Explore Loop first and complete the remaining setup steps (domain, support email, team invites), you'll land in the Loop admin with a Demo Mode banner at the top of the screen. From there, you can browse Loop's features and settings at your own pace.

How to go live

When you're ready to move forward, click Schedule a quick call today in the banner. You'll be connected with the Loop team to schedule a call, sign a contract, and begin onboarding.

FAQs

Will I need a developer involved to complete this integration? No - Loop setups can be completed without development assistance. If you choose to use Shop now On-Store, that feature will require some developer assistance (this can generally be completed in about 2 hours).
