Loop <> Shopify Installation

Edited

OVERVIEW

The Install & Account Creation flow enables merchants to install Loop via the Shopify App Store and quickly connect their store to Loop. This article will walk you through the installation process as well as cover some of the common installation questions.

Installation process

  1. Head to the Shopify App Store, search for Loop Returns and select to Install

  2. Once you've successfully downloaded the app, you'll be brought to Loop's Install Guide

  3. If you've already gone through the sales process and spoken with a member of the Loop team then you would have received an activation code that you can enter as the first step in the Install Guide

Note: You cannot proceed without an activation code. If you received one but can't find it, contact install@loopreturns.com for assistance. If you haven't spoken to a Loop team member or received a code, please reach out to schedule a time here.

  4. Once you enter the activation code, you will be brought to the next step of entering your URL. We will pre-populate a URL for you based on what we can see regarding store settings.

  5. After submitting your domain, you'll be prompted to set your support email preferences. This is something you can customize later from within the Loop admin if you choose.

  6. Now you'll be prompted to enter your payment details. Loop uses Ordway as our customer billing portal, so you will see a link that you'll need to click that will bring you into Ordway to enter payment information.

Note: You may not be required to complete this step if this is an additional instance and we already have a payment method on file related to your account (which we can see based on the activation code)

  7. Once that is approved, the next step will be to invite team members to Loop. Again, you'll have the ability to add more team members later but you should invite the team members that you'll want to have immediate access to Loop upon install.

You'll enter their first name, last name and email address and then select the permissions you'd like them to have access to in Loop. You should include yourself on this list if you are the one setting up Loop.

Once you complete that step, those users will receive an email with an invitation link to confirm their account.

Note: You'll need at least one accepted invitation before you'll see the option to proceed become available in the Install Guide

  8. Now you'll see the option to log into Loop! From there you can begin building your return policies, setting up shipment preferences etc. You'll also be paired with an Onboarding Specialist who can answer any of your questions.

FAQs

Will I need a developer involved to complete this integration? No - Loop setups can be completed without development assistance. If you choose to use Shop now On-Store, that feature will require some developer assistance (this can generally be completed in about 2 hours).

How should I test my Loop integration? Read more information on testing Loop here: Testing Your Loop Instance.

I would like to change my Returns Portal URL. Please contact support@loopreturns.com or your Account/Onboarding Manager to modify your Returns Portal URL.

If you are unable to complete your Loop installation - Please contact install@loopreturns.com or your Account/Onboarding Manager.
