Release Notes: November 2023

Fixes + Improvements

Reports

There has been an update within Loop Reports which has improved the overall reports experience by making it easier to export the information that merchants need to manage returns. While the appearance has changed, all data is still the same.

The changes include the following:

  • Reports now export more quickly than before
  • Larger data sets can be requested
  • Exports go directly to your downloads

Note: the view in the admin will only include 500 lines. To view the complete data set, the report must be exported, please view instructions here.

Loop Analytics

We've made several small improvements and additions to Loop Analytics and Insights to help merchants get the most out of their data!

The following has been added to give merchants deeper insight:

  • Added Shopify Order Source filter to Operations, Customer Behavior, and Products dashboards, which allows users to filter to Point of Sale (POS) or eCommerce orders
  • Added Loop POS Filter to Operations, Products, and Customer Behavior Dashboards to allow users to filter to returns created via Loop POS

  • Resolved an issue that was allowing for return submission beyond the warranty and standard return window
  • Delivered the ability to customize automatic processing events within a warranty policy
  • Delivered the ability to “exclude warranty” as an available outcome via Workflows

Ship by Loop Enhancements

We’ve made some enhancements to the Ship by Loop shipping service. Merchants can now do the following:

  • View wallet balance from the Shipping tab of your Loop Admin.
  • Connect their own FedEx SmartPost or UPS Mail Innovations accounts to Ship by Loop, in addition to existing support for USPS, FedEx, and UPS.

To learn more, please review the Ship by Loop article. To set up FedEx SmartPost or UPS Mail Innovations, follow the Bring Your Own Carrier setup steps.

Workflows Updates

Loop released a number of new conditions and actions to Workflows this month, including the following:

  • Added the ability to exclude Instant Returns and Warranties as available outcomes in Workflows
  • Added Shop Now X% discount as an available action in Workflows

Shop Now Discounts via Workflows applies the original order discount to the Shop Now exchange cart amount. Check out this article for setup information.

Happy Returns Location Changes

UPS acquired Happy Returns from PayPal. This means that Happy Returns drop-offs are now accepted at thousands of The UPS Store locations nationwide! However, returns are no longer accepted at FedEx and GameStop locations. New returns and all customers in possession of a QR code must drop off at one of 10,000+ Return Bars other than FedEx Office or GameStop locations.

Loop has made updates to how the Happy Returns location drop-off option appears in your Loop returns portal. Instead of showing 1 Return Bar location, the portal now shows the top 3 closest Return Bars. We’ve also added the banner shown below to notify shoppers that the Return Bar locations they may be used to may have changed.

To learn more, please review the Happy Returns article.

Admin Feature Information

Added additional in-product guidance and Help Center links in the admin to make it easier to find out information about Loop features. In most features and settings in the admin, there is a link to a Help Center article so merchants can find relevant information about functionality and setup.
