Shopper CSAT in Returns Flow

After submitting a return in Loop, shoppers will automatically be asked 'How was your returns experience?' Shoppers can then rate from 1-5 and leave an optional comment. This will help both merchants and Loop understand how we can optimize the return flow to improve customer experience and drive brand loyalty.

Global-e Integration

Loop and Global-e have partnered to streamline Global-e returns through the Loop portal, allowing merchants using both services to consolidate domestic & international returns onto one system.

Using the Loop portal for Global-e returns allows merchants to add more to the Global-e returns experience with the Loop features merchants know and love:

  • Automate policy rules and exceptions with Workflows.

  • Gain enhanced reporting and returns data through Loop for all of the merchant's returns - domestic or international.

  • Retain more revenue from international returns by offering Store Credit.

Multi Label Returns

Merchants using Ship by Loop & Easypost can now utilize Multi Label Returns to streamline returns for products requiring multiple shipping boxes. This feature automatically generates separate return labels for oversized or bulky items, creating a seamless self-service experience for customers.

Reject Line Item and Notify Customer

Merchants have the ability to reject a return or line items within a return prior to that return processing. When doing so, they can leverage edit return to adjust the outcome accordingly. Rejected line items are no longer eligible for return. Merchants can also optionally notify a customer when one or more of their line items has been rejected, and why, from within the Loop admin.

Note: The reject return function has replaced the closed return button. It functions in the same way in that rejecting the return results in no action in Shopify and no further action can be taken in Loop. Any further action will need to be taken manually in Shopify.

Offset Enhancements

Package Protection

Merchants using Offset can now bundle Offset with Package Protection to increase checkout confidence and earn additional revenue. This allows shoppers to not only receive the benefit of a free return through Offset, but also coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged orders. Shoppers can easily self-service filing a claim and receive a fast resolution.

This service is available to Offset merchants at no additional cost to the merchant. Package Protection adds 2% of order value to the Offset fee for consumers, and merchants earn 1% of order value with Package Protection.

Opt-in flow + UX enhancements

To remain compliant with Shopify’s newest app requirements, all Offset experiences were updated to be default-off and presented as an option for shoppers to opt in to.

With this update, you will also notice a few other changes to the Offset experience that we tested and validated with shoppers:

  • Caption added below headline to further clarify the value of the offering to shoppers

  • Image removed from offering and toggle updated to checkbox to streamline and simplify

  • Handling fee added into details modal to show the tradeoff of not paying for free returns up-front

  • Checkout placement moved to increase visibility - this change requires action from you if you use Offset in checkout. Follow these instructions to update the placement.

Embedded Shopper Portal

Merchants can embed their Loop shopper return portal on their Shopify store, so shoppers can complete returns and exchanges all within one site. This creates one seamless experience for the shopper and provides optionality for merchants who may want to test a standalone returns portal vs an embedded portal.

Gift Card Order Upcoming Deprecation

On March 31, 2025, we're transitioning all merchants to our enhanced Gift Card API, which will replace the legacy Gift Card Orders method. This upgrade delivers better performance, reliability, and enhanced store credit management features.

Required Action:

Update your integration to the Gift Card API before March 31, 2025, to maintain uninterrupted service.

Webhook Retries

Merchant and Partners that rely on our webhooks will have a more reliable experience and less manual intervention. We will retry sending a webhooks for errors from rating limiting, server errors, etc.
